Sur le thème des femmes autochtones disparues, le concert Ishkueu (femmes en innu) nous plonge dans l’univers musical de quatre femmes issues de différentes Nations qui chantent dans leur langue respective. Avec Katia Rock, (Innue) tambour et direction artistique, Ivy Hamelin (Mi’gmaq), Barbara Diabo (Mohawk) et Beatrice Deer (Inuk). Les artistes se racontent sur des rythmes au tambour traditionnel ainsi que sur des beats folk, pop et rock. Direction musicale Maryse Poulin.

Join us for a weekend celebrating Indigenous, multi-disciplinary artists and artisans from local communities. Co-curated by Barbara Diabo and Victoria May, this showcase will offer patrons a look at a variety of Indigenous arts including performances, visual, cinema and even culinary arts, introducing elements of Indigenous Modernism highlighting work outside of what is considered traditional.
