The celebrated Inuk artist Beatrice Deer has crafted a soul-stirring new song in collaboration with the non-profit Isuarsivik Regional Recovery Centre.
This momentous collaboration heralds the National Grand Opening of the Centre on September 20th, a significant event graced by a lineup of distinguished attendees, including the Honorable Patty Hajdu and Ian Lafrenière.
The song, titled "Tasiulaurluk" — translating to "Take My Hand" — embodies the nurturing essence of Isuarsivik's core mission: fostering the recovery of Nunavik. This powerful message is echoed through the harmonious contributions of three other Inuit artists — Joey Partridge (also known as Juurini), Kathy Snowball, and Sylvia Cloutier.
