Le Sentier de la parole/Pathway of words

In partnership with Les Amis du Patrimoine de Saint-Venant-de-Paquette, Bishop’s University, les Éditions Hannenorak, les Éditions Mémoire d’encrier and Kwahiatonhk!, Champlain-Lennoxville invites you to the official opening.

Alanis O’Bomsawin and Richard Séguin will be the honorific sponsors of this pathway, and David Goudreault will be the spokesperson and the Master of ceremonies for this grand opening for Le Sentier de la parole/Pathway of words. Le Sentier de la parole/ Pathway of words will come to life on the shared campus of Bishop’s University and Champlain-Lennoxville. This pathway will devote itself primarily to Indigenous poetry.

The first works of poetry will be shared with the public at the opening ceremony the evening of April 11th. These works of Indigenous poets will be shared with you through videos prepared by students from Champlain-Lennoxville, Bishop’s University, aboriginal adult education centers from Gesgapegiaq, Kahnawake, Listiguj, Sept-Îles, and Uashat mak Mani-utenam.
